ENSEMBLES & STAFF
Wind Ensemble
The Wind Ensemble is one of two concert ensembles at Southeast Guilford High School. This is an auditioned group that consists mainly of juniors and seniors and performs advanced concert band literature. The Wind Ensemble performs three concerts per year. Each year the ensemble performs at the North Carolina Music Performance Assessment (MPA) and consistently receives a superior rating.
Concert Band
The Concert Band is one of two concert ensembles at Southeast Guilford High School. The group consists mainly of freshmen and sophomores and performs intermediate concert band literature. The Concert Band performs three concerts per year.
Jazz Ensemble
The Jazz Ensemble is an auditioned ensemble that consists mainly of juniors and seniors. The Jazz Ensemble performs many times throughout the year at different events and venues. Each year the ensemble performs at the North Carolina Jazz Music Performance Assessment (MPA) and consistently receives a superior rating. The Jazz Ensemble has previously performed at the North Carolina Music Educators In-Service Conference
Falcon Marching Band
The Southeast Falcon Marching Band is a competitive ensemble that is open to all band students at the high school. The marching band performs at all home football games, competitions throughout North Carolina during the Fall and at holiday parades. The marching band functions as an extra-curricular activity, rehearsing after-school three days per week from August through October. The band consistently places top in it's class and receives numerous awards and high ratings each competitive season.
Winter Guard
The winter guard is a competitive ensemble of 8th-12th grade students. This ensemble performs at competitions throughout North Carolina presented by the Atlantic Indoor Association (AIA). The winter guard is open to all Southeast students.
